The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Kufner can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Mike & Twyla Boguske
Condolence: Dear Kufner family and friends,
Bill was my closest friend and had the honor of playing music with him for several years. His passion for music was only surpassed by his incredible talent of playing guitar. While I had the pleasure of knowing him musically I quickly realized he was truly a remarkable person. Bill was humble, funny, thoughtful and genuine. Words can't express the sorrow we're all feeling at the passing of Bill right now. I recalled a poem from years ago that brought comfort to me and hope it brings some comfort to each of you.

***ALL IS WELL***
Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
just around the corner.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting,
when we meet again. All is Well.

(Source: derived from a sermon written by Henry Scott Holland
and delivered in St. Paul’s (London) on 15 May 1910, at which time
the body of King Edward VII was lying in state at Westminster.)

Holding you in thought & prayers.
