Vyra Addams

Vyra L. Addams, 91, Raytown, MO, died Monday, February 27, 2006, at Independence Regional Health Center. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 2, at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Mrs. Addams was born in Derby, IA, to Ernest and Lenna (Rush) Smith. She had lived in the Chanute, KS area and then Kansas City, MO. She spent 35 years as an LPN at the Independence Sanitarium, retiring in 1986. She was an avid fan of the KU Jayhawks, the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs and truly enjoyed all sports. Mrs. Addams was preceded in death by her husband, William John "Bud� Addams in 1974; two sons, John David "Jack�, and Robert Joseph "Bob� Addams; and two brothers, Verlin and William Smith. She is survived by three children, Larry Wayne Addams, Rosie Spellerberg, and Randall Eugene Addams; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.
