Lizabelle Ruth Ader

Lizabelle Ruth Ader, 90, of Sugar Creek, Missouri, peacefully passed from this life, on August 13, 2006, at her home, surrounded by her loving daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchild at her bedside. "Belle� was born to Ernest and Elsie (Willams) Brummett in Vernon, Missouri on September 9th, 1915. She was subsequently adopted by Stella and Newton Lewis of Minden Mines, Missouri three years later. Having grown up in Minden Mines she attended and graduated with honors from Minden Mines High School. She was an expert tennis player and on a championship girls basketball team there. In her late teens she was drawn to the big city of Kansas City where she met, fell in love with, and married Oran Burton Ader. She became an instant mother to Oran Jr. This union produced three additional children: Helen Lee, Stella Belle and Jack. Belle was a faithful wife and mother. When most of her children were married with children she decided to embark on a college education in her mid forties. Driving a school bus and selling cosmetics she paid for her education earning both a Bachelors and Master degree in education. She also had her specialist degree, and was working on her Doctorate. Belle retired from teaching special education in the Hickman Mills School District in 1983. During her teaching career she coached a state champion cheerleading squad and girls basketball team. Never being one to spend idle time, after retirement Belle took up ballroom dancing and traveled all over the world with her class doing ballroom competitions and exhibitions. Always the schoolteacher she spent many of her retirement years private tutoring students in her home and teaching pre-school at St. Ann�s catholic church. During her life she touched thousands of lives, was loved and will be greatly missed. Preceding Belle in death are her husband, Oran B. Ader, sons Oran Ader, Jr. and Jack Ader and daughter Helen Ader Sumner. She is survived by her daughter Stella Ader Rowland of Livermore, California and Peggy Ader (wife of son Jack) of Independence, Missouri, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Carson-Speaks Funeral home on Thursday, August 17th Rosary will begin at 6:30 pm and visitation from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, on Friday, August 18th at St. Ann�s Catholic Church.. Burial will be at Mt Washington Forever Cemetery in Independence.
