Ruby Adkins Propst

Ruby Adkins Propst, 91, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 14th at Rosewood Health Center. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 18th at Stone Church Community Of Christ. Cremation with private interment at Mound Grove Mausoleum. Ruby was born September 5, 1913 in Durango, CO to Edgar and Frances (Garnand) Stoddard. She was a member of the Stone Church Community of Christ Congregation. Ruby loved to write and was an accomplished poet. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Steve and Mary Adkins, Ted and Mary Anne Adkins; former husband Harry�s children Carol and David Baltz, Peggy and Terry Emerick, Lee Propst; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Rea Stoddard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ruby was preceded in death by her husbands Fred McBride, Herbert Adkins, and Harry Propst; daughter Connie Chapman and son Herb Adkins Jr.
