Thomas W. "Thom" Adkins

Thomas Adkins, 41, of Independence, passed away October 25, 2017. A visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1st from 6-8:00pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th, Independence, MO 64055. A graveside service will be Thursday, Nov. 2nd at 1pm at Louisburg Cemetery in Louisburg, KS. Thom was born Oct. 21, 1976, in Independence, MO. He was a self-employed jeweler and loved spending time at his cabin in the woods. Thom is survived by his longtime love, Ashley Sherard; mother, Shawn Pollock of Independence; brother, Daniel Gwadera (Baylee) of Blue Springs; niece and nephew, Colden and Evelyn; grandfather, Loyd McLain of Independence; uncles Tom McLain and Bruce McLain; as well as, many, many friends.
