God Called Katherine "Kay� Ann Aguilar home on Sun. Oct. 1, 2006. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Thu. Oct 5, 2006 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church, 600 N. Liberty St., Independence, MO with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be from 6 - 8:00 pm, Wednesday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with the Rosary being said at 7:00 pm. Mrs. Aguilar was born on Mar. 4, 1940 to Stephen and Lucy (Millirons) Leitner in Kansas City, MO. She graduated with honors from Bishop Hogan High School and Avila College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. Kay was a lifetime lover of literature, arts, and music. She was a witty, fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary Jo Groves and a brother Paul Vincent "Tom� Leitner. She is survived by her husband Lionel Aguilar, son Ralph Aguilar and wife, Debbie, daughters, Erin Aguilar and Lucy Aguilar, three beautiful grandchildren Kaiya, Mya, and Kaemon Aguilar. Also a sister, Ruth O�Rear, a brother, Stephen Leitner and many nieces and nephews.
