Cathy Albrecht

Cathy Darlene (McFarland) Albrecht, 59, Independence, MO passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sept. 6, 2008. Services will be 1 pm, Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 at the Union Baptist Church, Norborne, MO; interment at Antioch Cemetery in Norborne. The family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc.
Cathy was born June 20, 1949 in Brownsville, TX. She graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, MO. She worked for Carrollton Specialties in Carrollton for several years before moving to Independence, MO where she worked for Southwestern Bell until 2007. She enjoyed crafts, baking cakes, bingo, and especially her grandchildren.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Casey Lee Clevenger. She is survived by her son Jeremy Shields and wife Denise; three granddaughters: Madison Lee, Mackenzie Paige, and Morgan Ann Shields, all of Kansas City North; sister Terri Clevenger and husband Wayne, Grain Valley, MO; nieces Ronda Kendrick and husband Tony; Tammy Hawkins and husband Mike; Jeff Clevenger and wife DiAnna; and several great nieces and nephews.
