From 1977 to 1989 she was co-owner with her husband at Jim’s Friendly Tavern. Wilma volunteered at Independence Regional Hospital from 1990 to 2007. She was a life-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Post 1000 in Independence, MO. She was a member of Sugar Creek United Methodist Church being the longest living member of the congregation.

Wilma is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, twin sister, Thelma Louise Boosinger, sister Virginia Jasso; sons Robert Lee Alderson and William Troy Alderson; grandson, James Alderson and granddaughter, Meghann Alderson.

She is survived by her children; son James V. Alderson, Jr. and wife Lee of Excelsior Springs, Gary Alderson and wife Joy of Independence, daughter Cheryl Robertson and husband Bill of Kansas City, and daughter-in-law Patti Alderson of Buckner, MO. Wilma was a loving and inspiring grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and was expecting the arrival of a great-great granddaughter. Wilma had many nieces and nephews.
