Gertrude Alexander

Gertrude Caroline Alexander, 80 of Buckner, MO passed away Fri. Aug 3, 2007. Services will be 10 am, Tue. Aug 7, 2007 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams St., Buckner, MO. Burial in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 �" 8:30 pm, Monday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Buckner United Methodist Church. Mrs. Alexander was born on Dec. 22, 1926 to Coy and Wilma (Milton) Spry in Pettis County, MO and had lived in Buckner since 1953. She had owned and operated Gertrude’s Beauty Salon in Buckner from 1968 until 1972. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, watching tv and playing bingo. She was a member of the Buckner United Methodist Church. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband Ronald L. Alexander, Sr.and by a son Ronald L. Alexander, Jr. She is survived by four daughters, Patricia R. Fry and husband H. Dewey, of Stilwell, KS, Connie M. Yates and husband Richard of Albion, IN, Margaret V. Steinhauser of Odessa, MO and Susan L. Brock and husband Bob of Independence, MO. A daughter in law, Terry L. Alexander of Buckner, MO. Two sisters, Flossie H. Ream of Sedalia, MO and Erma J. Combs of Ft. Worth, TX. Twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
