(KNOX) ALEXANDER
Patricia Alexander, 66, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, September 11th 2013 at 3:33 p.m. surrounded by her three girls. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14th 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15th at the chapel. Traditional Irish Wake will be held at the Lynch Estate at 5:00 p.m. following the service. A private burial will be held at a later time.
Patricia was born May 4th 1947 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Robert Vinson and Mary Lorraine (McCrary) Knox as one of three children. She attended high school in Oceanside, CA and Atchinson, KS and college of St. Benedicts in Atchinson, KS. Patricia raised three daughters with Paul Pavey. She perfected many positions at many employers including National Bank North Kansas City, American Hospital Supply, Research Psychiatric, Tri City Christian School, and James B. Nutter & Co. She was a great public speaker who always sought self improvement and encouraged others to be their best selves. Her hobbies included loving others, cross stitch, macramé, traveling, gardening, and animals. Patricia loved her family as well as nature and found meaning in every thing. She was a lady of grace who appreciated quality over quantity and as a Christian was a, “servant of the Lord and a glimpse of Heaven.”
Patricia is survived by her three “great loves,” daughters, Julia Diane Lynch and husband Michael of Lone Jack, MO; Paula Elaine Lombardo and husband Michael of Grain Valley, MO; Jessica Anne Vanderpool and husband Brian of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren, Miguel Merced Contreras-Pavey, Ariana Elaine Aquino, Francis Michael Lynch II, and Brian Keith Vanderpool, Jr. She was preceded in death by companion, John Gardine and sister, Ruby Black and her father.
