Addie Mae Allen, 94 of Blue Springs, MO passed away, Monday, January 28, 2013 at Shangri La Care Center in Blue Springs, MO. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Addie was born April 12, 1918 in Hatley, MS to Henry and Liddy (Nash) Tate. She had worked for a number of years as a shipping clerk for Montgomery Wards. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, listening to gospel music and, most of all, spending time with her family. She is survived by; her daughter, Elizabeth Wallace and her husband Lex of Kansas City, MO; a son, Jim Tipton and his wife Sherry of Hamilton, MS; 7 grandchildren, Chastity Mae Green, Doug Ruth, Brandon Lane Tipton, Clint Sterlin Wallace, Leanne Ritter, John Ritter and Thomas Junior Ritter and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James Gabriel Tipton in 1998, 2 sons, Thomas Ritter and Sonny Ritter and a grandson, Buddy Green in 2003.
