Brett M. Allen, 38, of Independence, MO passed away unexpectedly January 28, 2016. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A visitation will be held from 5-8:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Brett was born on August 11, 1977 in Independence, MO. He enjoyed Chevy trucks, cars, archery, being on the lake, his 2 dogs and playing Clash of Clans online. He loved his family very much, especially his children. Brett will be remembered by his wife Sara, of the home; daughter Nicole Allen of Raymore, MO; sons Hayden Allen of Raymore, MO, Jason Kampe of Independence, MO, and Vincent Jobe of Independence, MO; father Bob Allen and wife Tanda of Cleveland, MO; mother Judy Marriott and husband Oren of Independence, MO; sister Vanessa Allen of Cleveland, MO; nephew Micah Dougherty of Cleveland, MO; and grandmother Wilma Allen of Independence, MO. Brett was preceded in death by his brother Adam Veach in 2011. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Brett’s honor to Children’s Mercy Hospital or Midwest Transplant Network. As per Brett’s wishes, his organs were donated to help save the lives of others.
