Ella L. Allen

Ella L. Allen, 85, Independence, MO. passed away Feb. 25, 2006. Services will be 10 am, Wed., March 1, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. Ella was born Feb. 24, 1921. She was a lab technician at the Lake City Plant for 25 years and retired in 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Allen in 1974, son Bob Allen in 1980, and four siblings. Ella is survived by son William Allen and wife Charlotte; sister Toni McGee and husband Jerry, all of Independence; sister Mary Gill and husband Bob, Overland Park, KS; grandsons Tom Allen, Dean Allen, Gerald Thorp, all of Independence; Brent Thorp, San Jancito, CA; and five great-grandchildren.
