Oneda Bell Alley, 86 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Donations may be made in her name to the ASPCA. Oneda was born September 8, 1931 in St. Louis, MO to Clarence and Yvonne (Mathel) Archibald and spent her early life in the St. Louis area graduating from Normandy High School and had attended Graceland College. She had worked at Famous-Barr until she retired in 2003. She enjoyed cross stitching, word puzzles, watching old movies and was an avid animal lover. She was a member of the Community of Christ, Grain Valley Congregation and was a strong supporter of the ASPCA. She was married to Ellery “Curly” Alley on November 24, 1950; he preceded her in death on May 4, 2002. Survivors include: a daughter Cathy Porter and husband Duane of Blue Springs, MO; a son, David Alley of Blue Springs, MO; a dog Sebastien; 2 grandchildren, Karen Porter of Kansas City, KS and Susan Craig and husband Zeb of Gladstone, MO; 2 great grandchildren, Olivia Craig and Ronan Craig and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, a sister, Elde Amick and a niece Cynthia Sullivan.
