Harold Gene Allison (Gene) of Lee's Summit, MO, met his Savior face to face on October 19, 2021. He was born October 14, 1933 in Zebra, MO (later renamed Osage Beach) to William Lloyd and Eva Lee (Ahart) Allison. Gene married his HS sweetheart, Beverly Irene Burchett, June 28, 1953 in Warrensburg, MO. He graduated from Warrensburg HS in 1951 and Central MO State College in 1961. He served in the United States Army, teaching radar repair from 1955-1957. After returning from the service, he worked for the Bendix Corp. and was also a mechanic, gunsmith and machinist. He was a single- and multi-engine rated pilot, an avid bridge player, and enjoyed square dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Beverly; his sisters, Evalynne Richardson Fisk and Glenda Heinaman Wilson; and an infant sister, Rose Marie Allison. Gene is survived by his daughter, Sandra Cutler of Lee's Summit; son, Michael of Raymore; two sisters, Charlene Ollila (Les) of Dunbar, WI and Patricia "Cookie" Dierker of Cole Camp; and 6 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. at Tri-City Baptist Church, 430 NE Duncan Road, Blue Springs, MO 64014, with internment to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Tri-City Baptist Church.
