Deborah Fay Alt, 60 of Independence, MO passed away, Friday, December 14, 2012 at her residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association. Deborah was born November 8, 1952 in Kansas City, MO to William and Rosalee (Tetrick) Humston and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from Raytown South High School in 1970. She enjoyed traveling with her friend and dining out. She was employed as an executive secretary for Life At Its Best. She had also worked for 18 years at Sprint. She was very active in the Special Olympics. She is survived by; her husband, Dennis of the home; a daughter, Karen Bosarge and husband Mike; a son, Michael Perdue; 2 step daughters, Sherry Alt and Denise Alt; 6 grandchildren, Kayla Bosarge, Brooke Bosarge, Joshua Alt, Tamra Alt, Marcel Alt and Charlie Alt; a great granddaughter, Shayleen Whitley and her close co-workers and best friends, Barbara Neis and Tracie Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Cheryl Shipman in 2010.
