Donna Rae Amerine

Donna Rae (Hicks) Amerine, 69 of Blue Springs, MO died, Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the St. Mary�s Hospital in Blue Springs. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2006 at the Northern Blvd United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Donations may be made to the Northern Blvd UMC. Donna was born May 12, 1937 in Commerce, OK to Ray Leon and Vera Ruth (Reading) Hicks. She grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Central High School in 1955. She had worked as a buyer for JC Penney�s for a number of years until she retired in 1971. She was an active member of the Northern Blvd UMC and had helped organize the Chili Day and Bazaar and Santa-Cali-Gon Days. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, cross-stitching, arts & crafts and sewing. She was married to Gordon "Mike� Amerine on September 5, 1970, he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Shawn Amerine and his wife Hilary Ann of Leawood, KS; a sister, Jan Huntsinger of Blue Springs, MO and numerous dearly loved family members.
