Charlene Amos (Shinabargar)

Charlene Amos, 77 of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Rosewood Health Center. Private family services followed by burial at Miriam Cemetery in Maryville, MO. Charlene was born June 11, 1938 in Hopkins, MO to Albert Claude and Dorothy (Harmon) Shinabargar and graduated from Van Horn High School in 1956. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing and target practice. She was a longtime member of the Community of Christ. She is survived by; a brother, Verlin Shinabargar and wife Dolores of Lee’s Summit, MO; 8 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband C.R. Amos in 2010, a brother, Curtis Shinabargar and a sister, JoNell Shaffer.
