Joy Louise Amos

June 19, 1934 — July 10, 2003

Joy Louise "Grandma� Amos, 69 of Independence, became an Angel Thursday, July 10, 2003 at the Independence Regional Health Center. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Joy was born on June 29, 1934 in Kansas City, MO and grew up in Grain Valley, MO and had lived in Independence, MO most of her life. She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 2131. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Everyone knew her as "Grandma�. She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Evelyn Spradley, a brother, Ronnie Spradley, a sister, Judy Turner and a grandson John David Amos. She is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Carlson and Margie Plemmons, both of Independence, MO. Two sons, John Amos of Independence and Rick Amos of Running Springs, CA. Six granddaughters, Christina, Lacy, Johnnie Dianne, Danielle, Misti and Kelli. Seven grandsons, Robby, Jack, Matt, Marcus, Ricky, B.J. and Nick. Thirteen great grandchildren and many wonderful friends.
