Clyde Russell Anderson

Clyde Russell Anderson, 84, of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Independence Health Care Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the chapel. Donation may be made to the Zion�s Witness Restoration Branch. Clyde was born May 22, 1921 in Pine Bluff, WY to Otto and Katherine (Russell) Anderson. He spent his early life in Wyoming until 1970 when he met and married Gertrude V. (Beal) on November 19, 1972. He moved to the Kansas City area and owned and operated H & H Body Shop in the Hickman Mills area for 32 years before he retired. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, baseball, playing cards and gardening. He was a member of Zion�s Witness Restoration Branch, where he was an elder. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Colvin and her husband John of Greeley, CO; 2 sons, Charles C. Anderson and his wife Donna of Branson West, MO and Dennis Anderson and his wife Hannah of Gladstone, MO; a step daughter, Dr. Jo Ann Lierman and her husband Ernest of Independence; a brother, Milford Anderson and his wife Elynor of Mesa AZ; 3 sisters, Marsha Wood of Ft. Collins, CO, Audrey Rogers and her husband Wayne of Hartshorn, MO and Avis Varra of Windsor, CO; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
