Dorothy A. Anderson, 76, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully at her home on June 1, 2019. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Friday, June 7 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St, Independence, MO 64055. Dorothy was born on August 27, 1942, one of four children, in Decatur, Alabama to Coleman and Opal (Chaney) Rollins. She was a graduate of Raytown High School. In 1965 she married the love of her life William Anderson and they shared a lifelong love of nearly 58 years. Dorothy devoted her life to raising her family and caring for her home. When her 2 grandchildren were born they became the focus of her life. She enjoyed collecting Coke Cola items and Angels of any kind. Dorothy was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Survivors include: daughter Rhonda Dreiling and her husband Paul; son Timothy Anderson; grandchildren Zachary Dreiling and Seth Dreiling; brothers Cecil Rollins and John Rollins; sister Martha Wagner; a large extended family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband William in 2018.
