Idella Mae Anderson (Pickett)

Idella Mae (Pickett) Anderson, 91 of Independence, MO passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at North Kansas City Hospital. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Idella was born June 24, 1926 in Newton, KS to James H. and Mary E. (Troxell) Pickett. She has been a longtime area resident and had worked as a keypunch operator for the Forest T. Jones Insurance Company for a number of years. She enjoyed camping, square dancing, sewing, reading, walking and volunteering her time to help others in need. She was a member of Pleasant View Christian Church. Survivors include; a son, James Husbenet and wife Caren McGinness of Kansas City, MO; a step son Logan Reece of Kansas City, MO; a grandson, Alex Husbenet of Lawrence, KS; 2 granddaughters, Whitney Perez and husband Russell of Dallas, TX and Nicole Reece of Kansas City, MO.
