Judy L. Anderson. 77, of Independence, MO passed away January 30, 2018. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Chapel. Burial will take place in Mound Grove Cemetery. Judy was born on May 27, 1940 in Independence and graduated from William Chrisman High School class of 1958. In 1960 Judy Brackenbury met and married her best friend and love of her life, Richard Anderson. Together they shared over 57 years. To this union 2 children were born, Greg and Rebecca. Judy worked in the credit department at Mobile Oil for over 17 years while taking care of her home and family. When the children were younger, the family spent many wonderful vacations camping. With the children grown, Judy and Richard enjoyed square dancing with the Teacup Squares and traveling the country on their motorcycle, going from coast to coast. Judy took great pride in her lawn and gardens, especially her roses. Judy had a great fondness for gaudy earrings and off color one liners! As an amateur photographer she always had a camera at the ready. The time that was spent with grandchildren were the highlight of her life, and she was able to capture some amazing photos. Judy could be counted on to tell you like it was, she pulled no punches! She was dearly loved and will be forever missed by all that knew her. Survivors include; loving husband Richard Anderson; son
Greg Anderson and his wife Karen; daughter Rebecca Wuerfele and her husband Chris; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends. Judy is preceded in death by her mother, Edna (Overby) Brackenbury. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
