Raymond Anderson, Sr. passed away Friday July 2, 2021 at his home in Independence, Missouri. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, Missouri with a burial to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery.
Ray was born to Ernest and Rosina (Dietterle) Wolfe in Lemmon, South Dakota on April 1st, 1950. He attended Blue Springs High School and vocational school for Autobody Repair.
Ray was a patient man, who loved the Lord and his family. He was so full of compassion and kindness, anytime he saw anyone in need he was there to help no matter if they were family or a stranger. Ray loved to read his bible, work on cars especially dragsters and to sit on his porch drinking his coffee. He had a contagious laugh and gave the best advice, often asking “Now, is that the right thing to do?”. Ray was an extremely honest and genuine man who loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all his heart. He was everything a father should be and so much more.
Ray is survived by his children, Angela Anderson, Raymond (Leah) Anderson, Amanda (Abram) Voth, Sonya (Jim) Hay, Jeremy Anderson, Erica Anderson; 13 grandchildren, Cody, Jeremy, Dakota, Sage, John, Skylar, Aryssa, Abigail, Abrianna, Xander, Thomas, Emma, Abram; 5 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ellie, Brielle, Hazel, Lilymae; Nieces, Kimberly and Katrina.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Rosina Wolfe; great granddaughter Gracelynn Stanback and 2 siblings Gary Anderson and Brenda Wolfe.
