Margaret Lou Andes, of Independence, MO, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Monday, February 27, 2023. She was 76.
Margaret was born on December 18, 1946 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Louis Anthony and Christine (Cooper) Tritico. Margaret graduated from Bishop Hogan High in 1964. In 1974 she married her beloved husband Lawrence Andes and together, they made a house a home, staying settled in Independence. Margaret loved helping children and animals. It was her love of children that lead her to dedicate over 30 years of service to the Independence School District. Much of her career was devoted to helping children with special needs.
Margaret leaves behind her son, Lawrence G. Andes, (Shannon) of Holden, MO, and daughter, Antonia "Toni" Craig of Independence, MO, and a brother William "Bill" Tritico (Tammie) of Kansas City, MO, along with 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother and sister-in-law, Louis "Mike" Tritico (Shirley) of Excelsior Springs, MO, and sister-in-law, Nancy Andes of Holden, MO.
