Leroy Wilson Andrus, 75, of Independence, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held at a local park at a later date.
Leroy was born on July, 22, 1942, in Alton, IL to Louis James and Mary Elizabeth (Breakbill) Andrus. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Denise Andrus; an infant daughter, Elizabeth Janette; and his brother, James Louis Andrus. Leroy is survived by his daughter, Pamela Crowley (Charles Tripp) of Independence; step-daughter, Verna Magers of Independence; a brother, Joseph Eugene (Loretta) of Parkville, MO; two sisters, Margaret Ann Kitchell of Independence and Virgina Mae Walker of Kansas City, MO; a sister-in-law, Loraine Andrus of Kansas City, MO; two grandsons, Shawn Crowley and Justin Crowley, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews that love him very much.
