Lamona “Mona” (Hoskins) Angel, 71, Independence, MO died Aug. 26, 2019. Visitation 6-8 pm, Friday, Aug. 30 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052.
Mona was born March 1, 1948 in California, MO. Her family moved to Kansas City and she graduated from Northeast High School. She owned the Silver Fox Salons in Raytown and Independence and later owned the Englewood Barbershop. She also owned Angel’s Auctions Company for twenty-five years. She was a member of Souls Harbor Assembly of God and was very outspoken about her faith. She enjoyed gardening, yardwork and loved statuary. She had an eye for antiques. She was a very generous, giving person to friends and family. She had tremendous love for her family.
Mona was preceded in death by brother Forest “Dino” Hoskins and sister Tammy Hoskins. She is survived by son Ronnie Pace, Sedalia, MO; brothers Larry Hoskins and wife Debbie, Independence, MO;
Jimmy Hoskins and wife Sharon, Blue Springs, MO; Ronald Hoskins and wife Earline, Excelsior Springs, MO; sisters Stella Cornish, Independence, MO; Sheila Corder, Blue Springs, MO; granddaughter Maggie Steele and great-grandson Maddox Steele.
