Angie Marie Rapper, loving partner, devoted mother, doting grandmother, and cherished granddaughter and niece passed away on February 12, 2025, in Independence, Missouri. Born on June 30, 1971, in Kansas City, Missouri, Angie touched the lives of those around her with her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to family and community.
As a Deli Clerk for Hyvee, Angie was well-known for her warm smile, engaging demeanor, and her ability to make each customer feel special. She took pride in demonstrating products and offering samples, turning each mundane shopping trip into a delightful experience for locals. Her love for music echoed in her daily life—always moving to the rhythm of her favorite songs—and she found joy in the simple pleasures of watching super cheesy scary movies. Angie embraced the written word, often retreating into her journals to pen inspirational verses that encouraged others and provided solace to herself.
Angie's heart was as vast as her generosity. She volunteered at Hope Faith Ministries, consistently looking out for those less fortunate than herself. Her compassionate nature inspired many and became a guiding light for friends and family. Always surrounded by laughter and the warmth of loved ones, she built a remarkable community characterized by friendship and love.
Above all, Angie’s greatest treasures were her family and her partner, Matt Woodall. They meant the world to her and were the center of her universe. She is survived by her three beloved children: Christina, Brandon, and Jessica, as well as her dear granddaughter, Delilah, who brought her immense joy and pride. She is also survived by her brother, Bobbie Walz, grandmother, Ruth Perez, her Aunt Yolanda Adams, as well as many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The light of her kindness and love will continue to resonate within them.
Angie rejoins her beloved parents, Bobby Walz and Linda Perez, and her grandfather, Juan Perez, in eternal peace.
A visitation will be held in her honor on February 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Nativity of Mary, located at 10017 E 36th Terrace S, Independence, MO 64052, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Angie will be laid to rest at Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery at 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138.
