Rev. Doyle D. Ankrom, 77 of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday at the Northcare Hospice House. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Full Gospel Assembly, 10537 E. 6th St. South, Independence, MO 64053. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 3 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the church. Donations may be made in his name to the Full Gospel Assembly. Doyle was born January 11, 1940 in Bolivar, MO to Everett and Pearl (Mallard) Ankrom. After high school he attended Southern Bible College and received his bachelors from Southwest Baptist University. As a minister, he pastored churches in Rockville, IN, Troy, IL, Madison, IL 10 years and has been at Full Gospel Assembly for the past 22 years. He enjoyed golf, basketball, fishing and most of all singing and was in several singing groups including the Weatherford’s and currently with The Esquires. Survivors include; his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Sharin Ankrom of the home; a son, Tryce D. Ankrom of Independence, MO; a daughter in law, Elizabeth Ankrom of Independence, MO; 4 grandchildren, Alexis Ankrom of Kansas City, KS, Hunter, Isaac (Katelyn) and Grace all of Independence, MO; a great grandchild, Adilynn Ankrom; a niece, Connie Woods and a nephew Greg Winkler. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Ankrom in 2014 and a sister, Dorothy Winkler.
