Sharin Fae Ankrom (Osborn), 81 years old died from complications of COVID on Tuesday, May 4th, 2021.
Sharin is survived by her Son, Tryce Ankrom, her Daughter-in-law Elizabeth, her four grandchildren Alexis, Hunter, Isaac, Grace, her great-granddaughter Adilynn, Sister Janice, Niece Robin, Nephew Gary, her best friend Harlena, her beloved puppy Yogi, as well as lots of nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins. She is predeceased by her Mother and Father, Velma and Cecil, her husband Doyle, her son Kevin, her Aunt Evelyn, and her brother Bobby.
Sharin was born in St. Louis, Oklahoma on October 16th, 1939. She grew up in Bakersfield, California singing in church choir and teaching Sunday School. It was there she would hear her calling to the ministry, and would meet her late Husband, Rev. Doyle Ankrom and begin her life dedicated to spreading the love of Jesus.
Sharin graduated from Southern Bible College with a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Studies. She would go on to have her two boys, pastor 7 church congregations, sing alto in 3 gospel groups, mother 4 Pekingese puppies, have a pack of grandkids, and make hundreds of best friends.
Sharin was a preacher of the word, a writer of poems, a lover of books, music, and large church parties where she never cooked, but was always hosting. Sharin was especially skilled at singing perfectly blended harmonies, making very sweet tea, and putting together matching outfits for her and Doyle. She made every person she met feel important, beautiful, seen, and cared for. She prayed tirelessly, she loved without condition, and embodied the word "forgivness."
Sharin lived to serve Jesus, her family, and her congregation. She also lived for the hair salon, hard candies, front-porch swings, fuzzy socks, silk pajamas, and Murphy Brown re-runs. She was happiest swinging on the porch with the phone in her hand, sipping on tea, and gossiping with her life-long friend, Harlena.
Sharin's Going Home Celebration will take place at Speak's Suburban Chapel on Monday, May 10th, 2021. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM. Services will begin at 2 PM, with a graveside ceremony to follow
