It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Michael Braughton, who left this world far too soon on March 10, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 37 years old. Anthony was born on October 17, 1987, in Kansas City to Lynn and Bobbie (Loomis) Braughton.
Anthony graduated from Fort Osage High School. He was a dedicated individual who worked many jobs throughout his life but most recently he found his calling renovating houses and doing construction.
His charisma and fun-loving nature made him a beloved figure among his friends and coworkers, who will remember him not only for his work but for the laughter and joy he spread wherever he went. His passions for botany, landscaping, and gardening reflected his nurturing personality, as he took great care in making things beautiful. Anthony was known for being incredibly handy, always ready to lend a helping hand or tackle a project with a smile.
Family was central to Anthony’s life, and his love for them was fierce and unwavering. He also adored animals and had an innate ability to connect with them, reflecting his kind-hearted nature. Anthony’s compassion and generosity touched the lives of many, creating bonds that will be treasured forever.
Anthony is survived by his father, Lynn Braughton; siblings, Ryan Loomis (Crystal), Corey Braughton, Devon Braughton, Bryce Braughton (Kayla) and Jessica Mansell; dear friends, Blake Ulrich, Dustin Bowling and Paula Chesney; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Bobbie Loomis; grandmother, Dorothy Loomis and beloved furry companion, his cat Tiger.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 1pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, Missouri. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
Known for his fun-loving, charismatic personality, Anthony brought laughter and light to every gathering. His spirit was infectious, making him a cherished friend to many and a loyal family member whose absence will be felt deeply.
