Zoe Ellen Charde Armour, 94 of Overland Park, KS, passed away, Tuesday morning, August 12, 2014 at the Villa St. Joseph Care Center in Overland Park, KS. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Brooking Cemetery in Raytown, MO. Donations may be made in her name to the Heart of America Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 3846 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208. Zoe Ellen was born June 10, 1920 in Harrison County, MO to Jesse D. and Eliza (Stotts) Pilcher and graduated from Bethany High School in 1937. She had worked for Commerce Bank for 22 years until she retired in 1985 as an assistant manager. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Countryside Christian Church and served on the Christian Women’s Fellowship, and the Business and Professional Women of Greater Kansas City. She was married to Alfred B. Charde in September of 1945 and had many happy years of marriage until his passing in 1976. She later married Harold Armour in 1988 and enjoyed many meaningful years together until his passing in 2002. She and Harold enjoyed volunteer work and travel. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Charde of Overland Park, KS; a son, Gary Charde and his wife Shirley of Lee’s Summit, MO; a step son, Gary Armour and his wife Sarah of Merriam, KS; 2 step daughters, Leanne Rimel and her husband Jim of Raymore, MO and Judy Marshall and husband George of Blue Springs, MO; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Marc Charde in 1983, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
