Elizabeth Arnold, 72, of Independence, MO passed away on October 19, 2005 at St. Luke�s Hospital, Kansas City, MO. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Elizabeth was born on October 5, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Clara and Sam Martino. In 1995, Elizabeth retired from the Social Security Administration after 29 years of service. She loved to collect cookbooks, and could find a recipe�or five, for any dish that was asked of her. She also loved keeping busy with her crossword puzzles. Elizabeth got the biggest kick out of driving members of the American Daughters of Columbus to meetings, bingo games and other functions that they had. They called her their chauffer. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kurt and Criss Barnes. Elizabeth is survived by one son, Craig Arnold; one sister, Annabelle Sharrock; two grandsons, Jonathon Arnold and Kurt Barnes, Jr.; and one great grandchild.
