Harry W. Atherton

Harry W. Atherton, 68, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away May 20, 2005 at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 in the chapel. Burial will take place in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Harry was born in Independence, MO to Kenneth and Delpha (Fitzpatrick) Atherton. He was a Truck Driver by trade and enjoyed fixing up cars in his spare time. Harry is survived by his wife of 48 years Sandra (Burlingame) Atherton of the home; sons Jerry and wife Sandee Atherton, Curtis and wife Trudy Atherton, Terry and wife Toni Atherton, Scott Atherton; daughters Glenda and husband Tim Taylor, Brenda Rothenberger, Cynthia and husband Glen Thomas all of Independence, MO; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley Seek of Livingston, TX and Dorothy Hurt of Independence, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
