Frank G. Baer

Frank G. Baer, 82, Independence, MO died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel followed by a graveside service at 1 pm at Corder Calvary Cemetery, Corder, MO. Visitation will be 9-10 am prior to service time at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Salvation Army.
Frank was born July 1, 1924 in Gashland, MO and lived in this area most of his life. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Independence. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Eighth Air Force in the British Isles. He attended Kansas City Junior College and Central Business College of Kansas City. He worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for Independence Power & Light until he retired 1975 after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents John W. Baer and Macy Pauline Baer; his first wife Mary Jo Holscher Baer; his brothers Lloyd Baer, Jack Baer and sister Mary Watters.
Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by Pat Baer, his wife of 25 years. He leaves his son Greg Baer and wife Sherry, Lone Jack, MO; step-son Larry Nagel and wife Mary, Lee�s Summit, MO; step-daughter Kerry Joseph and husband Tom, Inola, OK; step-daughter Janice Joseph and husband Greg, Broken Arrow, OK; step-son Jerry Nagel and wife Rebecca, Mansfield, TX brother Charles Baer and wife Joyce, Lee�s Summit, MO; Frank also leaves twelve grandchildren who also loved him dearly: Sarah Eckert and husband Alex, Tessa Nagel, Jessica Nagel, Jared Joseph and wife Corey, Adam Joseph, Jennifer Fennell and husband Josh, Jonathan Joseph, Jack Clark and wife Kelli, Derek Nagel, Danielle Nagel, Patrick Gibb, Kendra Doumitt and seven great-grandchildren.
