Patricia Sue  Baer (Purcell)

Patricia Sue Baer, 84, passed away September 5, 2018, at her home in Independence, MO. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO. Visitation at 1:00pm followed by Celebration of Life service at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Presentation Catholic School 150 NW Murray Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO 64081. Pat was born on December 21, 1933, Kansas City, MO to William and Jean Purcell. Pat was preceded in death by Frank Baer, her devoted husband of 25 years. Also her brothers Bob Purcell and John Purcell. She is survived by her Aunt Agnes Thompson, 92, brother Bill Purcell (Marilyn, very dear friend to Pat), and her sister Jody Welling (Gordon). Loving mother to: Larry Nagel (Mary), Kerry Joseph (Tom) Janice Joseph (Greg) and Jerry Nagel (Becky). Proud Grandmother of: Sarah Eckert, Tessa Nagel, Jessica Cox, Jared Joseph, Adam Joseph, Jennifer Fennell, Jonathan Joseph, Jack Clark, Derek Nagel, and Danielle O'Rourke. Caring Great Grandmother of: Jeana and Jill Fennell, Will and Gus Eckert, Scott and Claire Joseph, Elliott Cox, Harper Nagel, Isaac Clark, and Ava Joseph. Pat was a lover of Art. Her 25 year career with Picture and Frame Industries was a perfect fit. She had relationships with local artists and treasured their work. Retired in 1992. She was dedicated to her children and will be deeply missed by them along with her many nieces and nephews and friends.
