Gary Lee Bafus, 67, Blue Springs, MO passed away Monday, June 10, 2014.
Gary was born July 19, 1946 in Newton, KS the son of William and Dorothy (Gaiser) Bafus. He was a graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. Gary worked for a number of years with Marion Labs and retired as a research chemist from Aptuit. He enjoyed traveling throughout the southwestern United States, visiting National Parks, spending time with his family and woodworking.
Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Don Bafus in 2006; and his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beth Bafus of 43 years; son, Michael Bafus and wife Deanna; and his granddaughter, Keira Bafus.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. A celebration of Gary’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
