Wilbur D. Bagley, 73, of Independence, MO passed away September 28, 2012. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Tuesday, October 2, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Wilbur Dean Bagley, 73 of Independence, MO passed away September 28, 2012 surrounded by loved ones at Centerpoint Medical Center. Wilbur was born in Mercer County, MO on July 23, 1939 to Everett M and Neotha Grace Bagley. He grew up on a farm and later moved to Independence in 1957. He married Phyllis (Billups) Bagley on November 22, 1961. Together they raised their family of 3 sons and 1 daughter. Wilbur was a devoted Boy Scout leader for nearly 30 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time camping with his family near Warsaw, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Bagley. Wilbur is survived by his wife Phyllis, of the home and children Wesley Bagley, Independence, MO; Jon Bagley, Independence, MO; Cindy Bagley Independence, MO; Leonard Bagley and wife Angie, St Joseph, MO; and Robert Hill, Independence, MO. He was also survived by 5 grandchildren Samuel, Zoey, Logan, Spencer, and Jonathan. Memorial contributions to Cancer Action or Boy Scouts of America have been requested in lieu of flowers.
