Leonard Bailey

Leonard Eugene Bailey, 56, of Independence, MO, passed away, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his residence. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to the American Kidney Foundation. Leonard was born October 22, 1957 in Ft. Huachuca, AZ to Delmus and Hettie (Duncan) Bailey. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1976 and proudly served in the US Marine Corp from 1976-86. He enjoyed fishing and was a gun enthusiast. He was a member of Plaza Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by: his parents, Delmus and Hettie Bailey of Lee’s Summit, MO; a son, Terry Klauson of San Diego, CA; 2 sisters, Michele Tucker and husband Gary of Independence, MO and Evetta Bailey of Lee’s Summit, MO and a brother, Bobbie Bailey and wife Tatiana of Los Angeles, CA.
