Kathleen Ruby Bain (Gardoni)

Kathleen Ruby Bain, 92, Independence, MO, passed away on August 6, 2016. Visitation will be from 9-10am, Friday, August 12, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 10 am at the chapel. Burial will take place in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Kathleen was born on July 8, 1924 in Miami, OK to Santo Gardoni and Thelma (Karr) Meek. Kathleen is preceded in death by her father Santo Gardoni of Genoa, Italy; mother Thelma (Karr) Meek of Baxter Springs, KS; husband, Gynne Orr Bain, Daughter-in-law Maxine E. Bain; brother Bob Gardoni, and Grandson Andrew. She is survived by; sister Audrey Gardoni of Virginia; brother Ray Meek of Virginia; sons Marvin Urban (Sharon) of Albuquerque, NM, Michael Bain (Gina) of KCKS, Larry Bain of Indep., MO, Leonard Bain of KCMO, Kenneth Bain (Sue) of Lenexa, KS; daughter Alicia Sipes (Charlie) of Indep., MO; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
