Bobbie Gene Baker

Bobbie Gene Baker, 78, Independence, MO passed away Aug. 15, 2014. Graveside services will be 11 am, Thursday at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wednesday at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Bob was born Nov. 17, 1935 in Sullivan County, MO. He was an auditor of the Railroads for the U.S. Government. He was a member of the Maywood Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and reading stories about paranormal activity. Bob was preceded in death by son Anthony Baker, daughter Rebecca Baker and brother Alvin Lee Baker. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years Mary Ann Baker, of the home; son Jeffrey Baker, Independence, MO; and uncle Wayne Baker and wife Opal, Grandview MO.
