Kyndra Lynn (Brown) Baker, 47, Independence, MO, passed away Sept. 13, 2012. Memorial services will be at 2 pm, Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055; inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 6-8 pm at the chapel. Kyndra was born Aug. 17, 1965 in Kansas City, MO. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Communications from UMKC and a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from K. U. She loved being an occupational therapist but her health the last year prevented her from working, She was a beautiful person inside and out – a loving mother, daughter, niece, cousin and friend. She had a very strong faith and relied on the Lord constantly. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey C. Brown who passed away in 2005. Kyndra never stopped missing him because they were very close. She is survived by her mother Barbara S. Brown and father Charles A. Brown; her beloved son Avayn James Baker; sister-in-law Maureen Brown, Marshall, MO; nephew Nicholas Brown; niece Hannah Brown; uncle William S. Schmidli, Malin, OR; aunt Virgie Hillegas, Phoenix, AZ and many cousins that she loved very much.
