Lori Anne Baker, 49 of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Lori was born November 3, 1970 in Kansas City, MO to John Thomas and Rita Anne (Jackson) Baker and has been a lifelong Independence resident graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1989. She was a kind soul and often said that she “loved everybody”. She especially enjoyed spending time with her longtime boyfriend, Tommy Hunt and listening to country music. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Independence. Lori is survived by; her sister, Cari Baker, brother, Jimmy Baker, grandmother, Lorene Jackson and nieces, Brianne and Kimberlee Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rita Baker, her maternal grandfather, Jimmy Jackson and paternal grandparents, John and Ruth Baker. In lieu of flowers Lori’s family suggests donations to the Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD).
