Wanda Cornelia Baldus, 90 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Pleasant Valley Manor in Liberty, MO. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Donations may be made to Harmony Heights Missionary Baptist Church. Wanda was born August 26, 1927 in New Castle, TX to Arthur Conrad and Beulah (Richardson) Duckett. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who also work as bookkeeper for their family business, Don Baldus Standard service station. She enjoyed wood crafts and was a member of the VFW Post #1000 and the DAV #10. Survivors include; 2 daughters, Cathy Proctor and husband George of Independence, MO and Susan Seim and husband Marv of Platte City, MO; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Baldus in 1999, a son, Kenneth Baldus in 2013 and her parents and 2 brothers.
