Max D. Baldwin, 82, of Kansas City, MO passed away February 18, 2017. Visitation will be from 6-8PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will be 1:30PM Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Sycamore Hills Baptist Church, 15200 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO. Max was born on October 28, 1934 in Stockton, MO to Harry and Mary Kathryn Baldwin. He was a member of Sycamore Hills Baptist Church since 1969, serving as a Deacon. Max spent over 50 years in the vending machine business, most recently repairs and rebuilding machines. He enjoyed traveling and bass fishing. In his younger days, he played basketball and baseball. Max was quick witted and had a pun for every occasion. He had a very musical family and especially liked southern gospel music. Max was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Joan Baldwin. He is survived by daughters, Teresa (Gary) Henny and Sherry (Dave) Klasing; granddaughters, Jennifer, Melissa and Becky; great grandchildren, Danny, Maci, Hannah and Layla. Memorial contributions may be made to the church in memory of Max.
