Faye Louise Ballagh, 69, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013.
Faye was born June 9, 1944 near Swan Lake, NE the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Smith) Garwood. She had worked for Rodeo Telephone in Burwell, NE before working for Heubel Material Handling in Kansas City for the last 28 years, recently serving as the human resources director. Faye enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling.
Survivors include her daughters, Cherie Wood and husband Ben, Sheila Ballagh and husband Kevin Whitney; grandchildren, Cecelia and Benjamin Wood, Jr., Vivian and Troy Whitney; great granddaughter, Ashtyn Wood; sister, Janet Kliment; and numerous nieces, nephews and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. A celebration of Faye’s life will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Atkinson, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
