Juanita P. Barclay (Lutz)

Juanita Barclay, 82, of Indep., MO passed away August 29, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside services will be 10am Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Atchison, KS. Juanita was born on July 1, 1934 in Donavon County, KS to Carl and Marie (Dieken) Lutz, Sr. She was a graduate of Atchison High School class of 1953. It was there that she met the love of life, Ted Barclay, her freshman year. Juanita enjoyed sewing, crafting, painting, and most of all shopping! She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Survivors include; husband of 62 years, Ted Barclay; sons Kevin Barclay and Tom Barclay; daughter Paula Barclay; grandson Dustin Dake (Rachel); 3 grandchildren; sisters Virginia Lacy, Ruth Lanter, and Rosie Shrout; brother Albert Lutz; several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carl Lutz Jr. The family would like to thank Gentiva for all of their care and support In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s and Heart Association in Juanita’s memory.
