Louise Elizabeth Barnes

Louise E. Barnes, 94, Liberty, MO, formerly of Independence, passed away June 5, 2006. Services will be 10 am, Friday, June 9, 2006 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Louise was born Oct. 1, 1911 in Independence and lived most of her life there. She was a longtime member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved to travel and traveled the world. She was devoted to her family. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Henry Barnes and son, John Hugh Barnes. She is survived by daughter Mary Shandler and husband Joseph; sons Doug Barnes and wife Josie, all of Liberty, MO; Bruce Barnes and wife Ann, North Fork, ID; grandchildren Peter Barnes, Kate Barnes, Natalie Likely, Ashley Likely, John Shandler, Michael Shandler, David Shandler; and great-granddaughter Lilianna White.
