Leta Marie Barnhill, 80 of Odessa, MO passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 at New Haven Living Center in Odessa, MO. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams St., Buckner, MO 64016 with burial to follow in Buckner Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Leta was born November 21, 1939 in Independence, MO to William and Lela (Gee) Kimbrell and has been a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed music and singing with her sisters and were known as the Kimbrell Sisters. She also enjoyed knitting cake decorating, baking and helping others. She had worked for Lake City Ammunition Plant for several years in quality control until she retired in 1999. She later worked as a cook and care provider at Blue Hills Care Center. Survivors include; 3 daughters, Violet Clark of Odessa, MO, Ramona Saluto of Independence, MO and Annette Alumbaugh of Sibley, MO; a son, William Hamilton of Strasburg, MO; a sister, Wanda Clark of Buckner, MO; a brother, James Kimbrell of Buckner, MO, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
