Martha Singleton "Marty" Bartlett (Singleton)

Martha Singleton Bartlett died July 23, 2021, 90 yrs. of age. Born August 11, 1930 in Kansas City MO to Edgar "Eddie" and Christine (Hammer) Singleton. She graduated from Northeast High School, and while working at Commerce Bank, she met Forrest "Joe" Bartlett. On November 13, 1958, they were married in the Lion's Den of the Shrine Circus in Kansas City. Martha worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for small businesses including Lacey’s Wholesale Florist and later in the family business, For-Mart Accounting, Inc. in Lee's Summit, MO. Martha and Joe enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Both shared a love of golf, tennis waterskiing, travel and sharing life and laughter with family and friends. Martha is preceded in death by her husband Forrest, their son Scott Lee Bartlett and is survived by her daughter Christine Brooks Figueredo, Pamela Rose Bartlett (daughter-in-law), grandchildren Tyler Brooks, Joshua Bartlett and Heidie Bartlett, and grandson Lucas Bartlett. Visitation is Thursday 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th Street S. Independence, MO.
